the states that i traversed
quickly on the way to either
california or colorado.

it was not until my trip in 2000
that i took time to visit some
of the most spectacular
national parks in southern
utah.

salt lake city as seen from
interstate 80.
this strip of i-80 was later
shut down for reconstrution.
the inevitable detour cost
me lots of time and really
pissed me off.
